Happy new year! I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday. Here are a couple of different looks from winter break that I wanted to share.
First up, Girly Bits – Grandma Got Run Over by a John Deere was the base to some stamping art using MoYou London black knight, Sugar Bubbles 11 and a couple of unlabeled MoYou London polishes to color in the light bulbs.
I finally took pictures of a polish before stamping! Here’s Girly Bits – Grandma Got Run Over by a John Deere on its own…
I love this color…
Next up, striping tape was used for the candy candy cane pattern and I free handed candy canes over Vapid Lacquer – Watercolor Octopus using acrylic paint. This was my first time using striping tape. I first tried to freehand these stripes but it wasn’t working for me at all.
Next, a sample Shleee Polish was the background to some acrylic trees. I saw a similar wallpaper and was inspired to make this little snowy forest.
This is another design I want to recreate next year. I may need to use a better contrast of colors.
Finally Superchic Lacquer – Lucid La La Land was the background to freehand holly using acrylic paint.
